NAPSA Stars Football Club have confirmed the signing of Zambian international midfielder Ngosa Sunzu from Czech second-tier side FC Taborsko. The 24-year-old joins the Pensioners as a free agent after a stint in Europe and brings valuable international and continental experience to the team.
Sunzu’s addition is part of the club’s strategic effort to reinforce its squad ahead of the 2025/26 MTN Super League season under head coach Sipho Mumbi.
Club Statement:
Napsa Stars FC is thrilled to announce the arrival of talented midfielder Ngosa Sunzu, who joins the team from FC Taborsko in the Czech National Football League 2. We welcome Ngosa to the Napsa Stars family and look forward to seeing his skills shine on the pitch.
European Experience and Versatility
Sunzu has enjoyed an impressive football journey abroad, having previously featured for Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam in Israel, as well as FK Teplice and Pribram in the Czech Republic. His overseas exposure has helped him develop a tactical maturity and composure that the Pensioners will hope to benefit from in the midfield.
Before his European sojourn, Sunzu also played for Buildcon FC in Zambia, marking the early stages of his professional career.
International Pedigree
On the international stage, Ngosa Sunzu has represented Zambia at both the U-20 and U-23 levels. He was part of the historic Zambia U-20 team that reached the quarterfinals at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea the furthest Zambia has ever progressed in a FIFA tournament.
He also featured in the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations under coach Beston Chambeshi, starting all three group stage matches in Egypt.
Sunzu’s pedigree and exposure at international youth level will provide NAPSA with added depth and leadership in the middle of the park.
Looking Ahead
With the MTN Super League becoming increasingly competitive, NAPSA Stars’ acquisition of Ngosa Sunzu is a clear signal of intent. The club is aiming to challenge strongly in the 2025/26 campaign, and Sunzu’s experience, both in Africa and abroad, will be vital in achieving that ambition.
Conclusion
The signing of Ngosa Sunzu is a smart and strategic addition by NAPSA Stars. With proven international experience and technical quality, Sunzu adds dynamism to an already growing squad. Fans will now look forward to seeing him don the Pensioners’ shirt and deliver the consistency he’s shown throughout his career.
