Nkana FC Confirm Loans for Chisha Kampamba and Martin Hamunjebwa

Nkana FC Confirm Loans for Chisha Kampamba and Martin Hamunjebwa

Nkana FC have confirmed the loan departures of striker Chisha Kampamba and defender Martin Hamunjebwa as the club continues preparations for the 2026 MTN Super League Transitional Season.

Kampamba has joined Forest Rangers on loan until January 2027, with Nkana saying the move will provide the striker with an opportunity to gain further competitive experience during the transitional campaign. Hamunjebwa, meanwhile, has joined Mines United on loan for the duration of the season.

The two departures come as Kalampa prepare for the third edition of the IRH-Mopani Challenge Cup, where they will face Copperbelt rivals Mufulira Wanderers in a two-legged charity derby. The first leg is scheduled for 5 September at Shinde Stadium, with the return leg set for 12 September at Nkana Stadium.

The annual charity derby will once again combine football with a social cause, with proceeds from this year’s tournament going towards supporting the Autism School at Kitwe Teaching Hospital and purchasing physiotherapy equipment for Ronald Ross Hospital in Mufulira.

Nkana will then turn their attention to the new league campaign, with the 2026 MTN Super League Transitional Season scheduled to begin in October. Kalampa will open their campaign away against newly promoted Trident FC at Sentinel Ground on 3 October.

The loan moves are expected to give both Kampamba and Hamunjebwa valuable playing time while allowing Nkana to continue managing their squad ahead of a new transitional league campaign.
