Forest Rangers Football Club has bid farewell to a host of key players as the club looks to reshape its squad for the on going 2023/23 season of the MTN Super League.
South African attacking midfielder Mpho Mathekgane, who had been a mainstay in the Forest Rangers midfield, has departed the club after his contract came to an end in December. Mathekgane, known for his dynamic play and goal-scoring exploits, has returned home and joined TS Galaxy.
The Forest Rangers attack will also be without the services of forwards Thomas Chideu and Peter Mwaangani, both of whom have left the club after their contracts expired. Chideu, a Zimbabwean international known for his pace and goal-poaching abilities, was a fan favorite at the club, while Mwaangani, a powerful striker, had been a reliable source of goals for the team.
Also Kingsley Mukaka and Gozon Mutale from Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles respectively, have mutually separated with the Club.
Despite these departures, the management of Forest Rangers remains optimistic about the future. They have thanked the outgoing players for their invaluable contributions to the club and wished them all the best in their future endeavors. With the season still on going , the club is already working on bringing in fresh talent to bolster the squad and make a push for glory.
