The road to the 2025/26 National League begins in Lusaka as ten provincial champions gear up for the much-anticipated 2024/2025 National League Play-offs, scheduled for June 3rd to 7th, 2025.
This annual event serves as a critical stepping stone for grassroots clubs aiming to reach the second tier of Zambian football. The tournament will feature two groups (A & B), each consisting of five teams. Only the top two teams from each group will book their place in the Zambia National Division One for the upcoming season.
Representing the Provinces:
-
Southern Province: Barts FC
-
Lusaka Province: Makeni All Stars FC
-
North-Western Province: Solwezi Academy FC

Copperbelt Province: Roan United
-
Western Province: Nangweshi Pirates

The playoff format guarantees drama, passion, and high-stakes competition as provincial pride takes center stage. Clubs like Roan United, with a rich history, will be eager to reclaim lost glory, while newer names such as Makeni All Stars and Nangweshi Pirates aim to write their own success stories.
Excitement is building across the country, with fans already voicing their support. In Southern Province, Barts FC loyalists are rallying behind their side with the chant:
“We are Team Barts all the way – Southern Power!”
These playoffs not only offer promotion but also a pathway to greater visibility, sponsorships, and professional development. The four teams that qualify will join the National Division One, setting the stage for a fierce 2025/26 season.
The National League Play-offs continue to play a vital role in Zambia’s football pyramid. They serve as a platform for unearthing hidden talent and giving provincial teams a shot at national relevance. With everything to play for, expect fireworks in Lusaka.
