Red Arrows Drawn in Group C for Historic CAF Confederation Cup Campaign

Zambia’s Red Arrows have been drawn in Group C of the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup following their historic qualification for the group stage, setting up continental encounters against AS Maniema Union of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars.

The Airmen secured their place in the group stage after eliminating South African giants Kaizer Chiefs on penalties, winning 3-2 in the shootout following a 1-1 aggregate draw. The achievement marked the first time in the club’s history that Red Arrows had reached this stage of the competition.

Red Arrows will now prepare to face Maniema Union and Singida Black Stars as they begin their maiden group-stage campaign. Both sides will provide a test for the Zambian representatives as they seek to establish themselves among the competition’s leading teams.

The fourth team in Group C is yet to be confirmed. The remaining place will be filled by the winner of the outstanding qualification process involving Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Mauritania’s AS Douanes and Guinea’s Hafia FC.
