Power Dynamos have confirmed the departures of Kenyan striker Moses Shumah and midfielder Brian Masanyinga as the club continues preparations for the new season and its continental campaign.
The Kitwe giants announced that Shumah has completed a permanent move to South African Premier Soccer League side AmaZulu FC, while Masanyinga has left the club after securing an opportunity to join the Zambia Police Service.
The exits mark the end of two important chapters at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Shumah Earns Move to South Africa
Shumah leaves Power Dynamos after a sensational debut season in Zambian football.
The Kenyan striker joined Aba Yellow from Kakamega Homeboyz in July last year and immediately established himself as one of the league’s deadliest forwards.
He finished the 2025/26 MTN Super League campaign as the Golden Boot winner with 21 league goals and ended the season with an impressive 23 goals in all competitions.
Despite still having one year remaining on his contract, Power Dynamos agreed to his transfer after reaching terms with AmaZulu.
Masanyinga Begins New Chapter
Meanwhile, midfielder Brian Masanyinga has also departed the club after earning an opportunity to join the Zambia Police Service.
The move brings an end to his time at Power Dynamos as he embarks on a new professional journey away from football.
Club Pays Tribute
Power Dynamos Chief Executive Officer Gibson Chaloba thanked both players for their dedication and contribution during their time at the club.
“Moses had an excellent season for us and his goals were a major reason for our success. He worked hard, remained focused and has earned this opportunity to take the next step in his career.”
Chaloba also commended Masanyinga for his professionalism and commitment, wishing him success as he begins his new career with the Zambia Police Service.
Focus Shifts to New Season
With the departures confirmed, Power Dynamos say attention now turns to strengthening the squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The club is expected to be active in the transfer market as it prepares to compete both domestically and in continental football.
Replacing the goals of Shumah will undoubtedly be one of the biggest priorities for the technical bench.
Conclusion
Moses Shumah leaves Power Dynamos after one of the finest individual seasons in recent MTN Super League history, while Brian Masanyinga departs with the club’s gratitude after serving with professionalism.
As Power Dynamos prepare for a new chapter, supporters will be eager to see how the club reshapes its squad following the loss of two key players.
