Moroccan giants RS Berkane have reportedly expressed strong interest in signing Power Dynamos striker Moses Shumah following his outstanding debut season in the MTN Super League.
According to Zambian transfer expert Wami Katanga, the CAF Confederation Cup finalists are preparing a formal approach for the Kenyan forward, who still has one year remaining on his contract with the Kitwe giants.
Shumah’s performances this season have attracted attention from several clubs across the continent, with teams from Tanzania and South Africa also monitoring the striker closely.
Outstanding Season for Shumah
The 24-year-old enjoyed a sensational first season in Zambian football after finishing the MTN Super League campaign with 21 goals for Power Dynamos.
His goals played a major role in helping the Kitwe giants successfully retain the league title in dominant fashion.
The striker quickly became one of the most feared forwards in the league thanks to his movement, finishing ability, and consistency in front of goal.
Biggest Winner at Power Dynamos Awards
Shumah recently capped off his impressive season by emerging as the biggest winner during Power Dynamos’ end-of-season awards gala held in Kitwe.
The Kenyan international collected:
- Top Scorer Award
- Fans’ Player of the Season
- Footballer of the Year Award
The honours reflected his massive impact during his first campaign at the club.
More Individual Recognition
Beyond the club awards, Shumah has also earned recognition at national level after being nominated for:
- Fans’ Player of the Season
- Player of the Season
at the upcoming 2026 MTN Super League Awards.
The nominations further underline the incredible season the striker has enjoyed in Zambia.
Journey From Kenya to Zambia
Shumah joined Power Dynamos from Kenyan side Kakamega Homeboyz in July last year after a brilliant campaign in the FKF Premier League.
Before moving to Zambia, the striker finished the 2024/25 Kenyan top-flight season as the league’s leading scorer with 17 goals.
His successful transition into Zambian football has now significantly boosted his reputation across African football.
RS Berkane Eyeing Reinforcements
RS Berkane’s reported interest comes as the Moroccan side continues strengthening its squad for continental competition.
The club has built a strong reputation in African football in recent years and remains one of the strongest teams in North Africa.
A move to Berkane would represent another major step in Shumah’s career and could offer him the opportunity to compete regularly in CAF competitions.
Conclusion
Moses Shumah’s brilliant debut season at Power Dynamos has not gone unnoticed.
With 21 league goals, multiple individual awards, and growing interest from clubs across Africa, the Kenyan striker has quickly established himself as one of the standout players in the MTN Super League.
Now, with RS Berkane reportedly preparing a move, Shumah could soon become one of the next big transfer stories in African football.
