Kanyemba Names 36-Member Provisional Squad

The Zambia Under-17 Women’s National Team has kicked off preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025 with Coach Carol Kanyemba unveiling a 36-member provisional squad for a local training camp starting this Sunday.

The squad features the core of the team that booked Zambia’s back-to-back ticket to the global showpiece, led by skipper Mercy Chipasula. The Copper Princesses will be making their third FIFA World Cup appearance after debuting in 2014 and returning in 2024.

Tournament Dates: 17 October – 8 November 2025

Group F Opponents: Japan, New Zealand, Paraguay

Venue Base: Salé, Morocco

Zambia Vs Paraguay – 19 October, Mohammed VI Academy

Zambia Vs Japan – 22 October, Mohammed VI Academy

Zambia Vs New Zealand – 25 October, Mohammed VI Academy

Kanyemba’s team will also undergo an international training camp in the final stages of preparation before flying to Morocco.
