- JANNY SIKAZWE MISSES OUT ON FIFA PANEL
Seven Zambian centre referees have made the FIFA international panel for the 2023 calendar while 10 have been pencilled for the assistant’s role.
According to the list for approved FIFA Referees who will serve on the panel for the year 2023, Zambia will be represented by Audrick Nkole, Mathews Hamalila, Tryson Mwape, Patience Mumba, Gloria Sambumba and Hillary Hambaba.
Mwape and Hambaba will be making their international debut on the FIFA panel.
On the Assistant Referees’ panel there will be the usual customers in Diana Chikotesha, Mercy Zulu, Chansa Kabwe, Chiwoyu Sinyangwe and Naphtally Banda.
Others Gertrude Nyirenda, Thomas Kaela, Meck Zulu, Trywell Nyirenda and Nancy Kasitu.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says he is happy that Zambian refs have continued to get international assignments.
“As FAZ, we are happy that our referees have made the FIFA panel. The onus is on them to keep working hard and represent the game and our country well,” Kashala said.
