Hollard Insurance kit the Royal
Insurance company Hollard Zambia on Thursday handed over football equipment to FAZ Women’s Super Division side, Queens Academy.
The General Insurance Provider handed over playing kit and bibs to the Royal Girls at the Hollard Insurance Headquarters in Lusaka.
Hollard Insurance Chief Executive Officer Barbara Mwandila was present at the handover and promised to continue supporting the girl child and through sports.
Queens Academy coach Jackson Katoba told the ZamFoot Crew in an exclusive interview the club is happy for the gesture from Hollard Insurance who are the club’s new kit sponsors.
Katoba went on to call on other companies to emulate Hollard Insurance and come on board to support Women’s Football which he says is on the rise.
“As a club we are very happy and honored to receive a sports kit from Hollard Insurance. It’s a big motivation for the girls and a relief for the club. I believe this is the beginning of better things for Women’s Football in Zambia. If we can have more companies supporting Women football in Zambia we can go a long way,” he said.
“Most club’s are being sponsored by individuals so such gestures are welcome and a big motivation to the girls.”
“The Copper Queens have qualified to the World Cup for the first time and this can go a long way in bringing on board companies to support the Women’s game,” he added.
The Royal Girls are currently 8th on the log with 20 points from 15 games played so far.
