Zambian international midfielder Hellen Chanda has completed a move to Eastern Flames FC in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, signing on a one-year loan deal from Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club.
The Dammam-based side confirmed the signing via their official platforms, marking a significant addition to their squad ahead of the new season. Chanda, known for her versatility and work rate, expressed excitement about the new chapter in her career.
“I am happy to join the club. I love the project that is here and I just want to do everything I can to help the team,”
Chanda brings vast international experience, having represented the Copper Queens at the COSAFA Women’s Championship, WAFCON, the Olympics, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Domestically, she has featured for Red Arrows Women and Green Buffaloes, while her international club journey includes stints with BIIK Kazygurt (Kazakhstan) and Hakkarigücü Spor (Turkey).
Her arrival signals Eastern Flames’ intent to compete at the highest level, and Zambian fans will be watching closely to see how she adapts to the fast-growing Middle Eastern league.
