Former Kabwe Rangers player Patson Kwataine makes final Chipolopolo squad

This may come as a surprise to many football  fans in Zambia  as the national team coach Avram Grant included a name not known to many in his final 27 Squad for the back to back AFCON qualifiers against Lesotho which will start next week.

National league star on the books of Mufulira Wanderers, (a boy from chililabombwe) Patson Kwataine AKA Gaiga has made the final cut of the 27 chipolopolo man squad.Ingenious, perceptive, bright, and brilliant are all adjectives that properly suits the description of the new born star into the national team.

Patson started his football caree in kabwe at young raiders before moving toKabwe Rangers Division 1 team from central province division one  after moving from the Nchanga rangers youth team.Since moving to Mufulira wanderers, Patson has established himself as a solid, reliable player in the middle of the pack, where his quickness and cleverness often cause problems for the opposition.

He has so far netted  4 goals, providing 5 assists and he has been one of the most consistent players for Mufulira Wanderers having just missed one game due to illness.Speaking before the Absa Cup encounter against Power Dynamos, Kwataine said his ultimate goal was to earn a spot with the national team and take back Maite to the Super League.

Now all we can say is congratulations for earning a spot in the national team and good lucky with taking maite back to MTN FAZ super league
