FOREST TO QUALIFY FOR ABSA MR RAY MUMBA
Forest Rangers club Chairman, Mr Ray Mumba, took time to talk to the players and he encouraged them to die a little in the last two games, so they can qualify for the only cup game in the country.
Mr Mumba said, ” I know, you know how important the coming games are and I just wanted to encourage you to work extra hard in the remaining games, so we can secure a spot in the top 6 and qualify for the ABSA Cup. We are right behind you and we believe you are capable of doing it.”
Forest Rangers missed out on the prestigious cup last season, after qualify for the first time in 45 years the previous season in 2020.
Coach Ian Bakala’s boys have two hurdles to jump before they can safely say they have qualified. Napsa Stars at home (Trade Fair Grounds) this weekend and away to Zesco United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on the 10th, December, 2022.
The ABSA Cup defending champions, Napsa Stars are no longer in the race to the ABSA Cup but, they desparately need 3 points.
Zesco United on the other hand, still stand a chance to qualify should they win their next two fixtures, but this is highly dependant on the outcome of their opponents.
Forest Rangers will be looking to put in their all, to ensure the don’t missed out on that qualification this year.
