Copper Queens Learn Four Nations Fixtures
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has officially unveiled the fixtures for the 2026 Four Nations Tournament, which will serve as a crucial preparatory event for the Copper Queens ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The tournament will be staged at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola and will feature Zambia, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Lesotho during the June FIFA international window.
Hosts Zambia will face Kenya in the second semi-final on 6 June 2026 at 15:00hrs, while Zimbabwe and Lesotho will battle in the opening match at 12:30hrs.
The winners of the two semi-finals will advance to the final scheduled for 9 June 2026 at 18:00hrs, while the losing teams will contest the third-place playoff earlier on the same day at 15:00hrs.
The tournament comes at a vital time for the Copper Queens, who are expected to use the competition to fine-tune preparations, assess squad depth and build momentum ahead of WAFCON 2026.
The return of head coach Nora Häuptle, whose future was recently clarified by FAZ, will also provide an opportunity for the technical bench to work closely with the squad ahead of the continental showpiece.
With regional rivals Kenya among the participants and Zimbabwe continuing to improve, the tournament promises to offer competitive matches that could help Zambia identify areas requiring improvement before heading to Morocco for WAFCON.
