Eden University Women’s Super League side ZANACO Ladies have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of midfield duo Blessings Zangose Zulu and Inonge Muyamwa from Lusaka-based lower tier side Pataaki Girls.
The Bankers have been active in the transfer market this season, following the earlier additions of Lubasi Pumulo on a two-year loan from Green Buffaloes and midfielder Ruth Ngoma. The new signings are expected to add creativity, vision, and goal-scoring ability to ZANACO’s midfield.
Inonge Muyamwa is celebrated for her soft touch, precise passing, and exceptional game control. Her ability to dictate play and unlock defenses makes her a valuable addition. The midfielder also has a proven goal-scoring record, netting 13 goals in last season’s ZPL Women’s National League South Zone for Pataaki Girls.
On the other hand, Blessings Zangose Zulu is a versatile attacking option, capable of playing as a central midfielder, winger, or second striker. Known for her eye for goal, Zulu captained the Copper Princesses at the U20 World Cup, and has graduated to the Zambia U20 National Team, where she clinched back-to-back COSAFA U20 Championship titles in 2024 and 2025. She also finished as top goalscorer in the 2024/2025 ZPL Women’s National League South Zone with 18 goals.
Coach and fans alike will expect both players to strengthen ZANACO Ladies’ midfield, enhance attacking options, and play pivotal roles in domestic and regional competitions this season. With these strategic signings, ZANACO is signaling intent to challenge for the Eden University Women’s Super League title.
