Zambian Premier League Week Seven Results
The Zambian Premier League entered its seventh week with a flurry of exciting matches and standout performances. Football enthusiasts were treated to a display of skill, determination, and teamwork as teams battled it out on the field.
In one of the key matchups of the week, Konkola Blades faced off against Kabwe Warriors. The match proved to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams eager to secure victory. It was Kabwe Warriors who emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. Prince Mumba was the hero for Kabwe Warriors, finding the net in the 66th minute, while Ocean Mushure sealed the deal with a goal in the 90th minute. This victory showcased Kabwe Warriors’ ability to execute their game plan effectively.
Meanwhile, Mufulira Wanderers took on Nkana in what promised to be an intense showdown. Mufulira Wanderers wasted no time, with Tresor Ilunga scoring a goal in the 7th minute to set the tone for the match. Owen Mwamba added to the tally with a goal in the 40th minute, putting Mufulira Wanderers ahead. Nkana’s Harrison Chisala managed to pull one back, but it wasn’t enough to secure a comeback.
In another closely contested match, Prison Leopards faced Red Arrows. The game was filled with action, and Paul Katema opened the scoring for Red Arrows in the 42nd minute. Mike Mambepa equalized for Prison Leopards with a goal in the 54th minute, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. However, Ricky Banda had the final say, finding the back of the net in the 71st minute to secure a 2-1 victory for Red Arrows.

The clash between Trident and Muza was a hard-fought battle, with both teams vying for dominance. Emmanuel Banda proved to be the difference-maker, scoring the solitary goal of the match in the 63rd minute to give Muza a 1-0 win.
Zesco United faced off against Green Buffaloes in a tightly contested match. John Ching’andu’s goal in the 45th minute proved to be the decisive moment of the game. Zesco United clinched a 1-0 victory, highlighting their ability to capitalize on opportunities.
Green Eagles 2-1 Forest Rangers
Green Eagles secured a valuable 3 points at home by beating Forest Rangers 2-1. The visitors took an early lead in the 16th minute through Jackson Chirwa. However, the home team responded swiftly, finding the back of the net in the 26th minute thanks to Freddy Micheal. Freddy Micheal continued his fine form, scoring his second goal in the 38th minute to secure the win for Green Eagles.
Napsa Stars 3-2 Mutondo Stars
In an exciting encounter, Napsa Stars managed to beat newly promoted side Mutondo Stars 3-2. Mutondo Stars took the lead in the 12th minute through Osmond Chita. However, the home team quickly found the equalizer in the 22nd minute through Kapembwa Musonda. Ziiri Adams gave Napsa Stars the lead in the 46th minute, and Simon Nkhata added a third goal in the 50th minute. The visitors pulled one back in the 90th minute through Charles Sichilima.
Nkwazi 1-1 Zanaco
Nkwazi and Zanaco played to an entertaining 1-1 draw. Zanaco took the lead in the 30th minute through Francis Moustapha. However, the home team managed to find the back of the net in the 77th minute through Peter Mwangani, who converted a penalty.
Power Dynamos 3-1 Kansanshi Dynamos
Defending champions Power Dynamos secured a 3-1 victory over Kanshanshi Dynamos. The visitors, Kansanshi Dynamos, took the lead in the 17th minute through Marvin Jere. However, the home team responded strongly, with Salulani Phiri equalizing in the 49th minute. Joshua Mutale scored the second goal for Power Dynamos in the 56th minute, and Salulani Phiri completed his brace in the 79th minute to seal the win
