Senegal‘s U17 team has been in impressive form so far at the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations, with three wins out of three and a clean sheet to boot. However, midfielder Abdou Aziz Fall is keen to ensure that the team does not get carried away with their success and is taking a cautious approach.
Aziz emphasized that the team is not viewing themselves as favorites for the tournament, but rather are taking things one game at a time. He acknowledged that while the team wants to be the best, they need to approach each match with a level head and confront each challenge as it comes.
Aziz was named man of the match in Senegal’s latest victory, a 3-0 win over Somalia, and he expressed his delight at the honor. He dedicated his performance to the people of Senegal and was pleased to represent his country.
Despite the comfortable scoreline, Aziz acknowledged that the match against Somalia was not an easy one and that the team had to work hard to secure the victory. With their attention now turning to the quarterfinals, Senegal will face a third-placed team from either Group B or C in Algiers.
