Power Dynamos captain Salulani Phiri says the players are fully prepared for the Copperbelt derby against Nkana FC, insisting that everyone in the squad understands the importance of Saturday’s MTN Super League Week 6 encounter.
Phiri believes the team’s preparations have been encouraging, with the players showing readiness to take on the challenge regardless of their age or experience.
The Power Dynamos skipper says the focus within the camp is on delivering their best performance and securing victory to reward the club’s supporters.
“The players know what is at stake, regardless of whether they are experienced or young. From the way we have been training, we can see that everyone is ready for the challenge,” Phiri said.
He added that the team is determined to give everything on the pitch and make the supporters proud by collecting a positive result.
“Our focus is simply to go out there, give our very best and do everything possible to secure victory and put smiles on the faces of our fans,” he added.
The encounter against Nkana presents another important chapter in the rivalry between the two Copperbelt giants, with both teams looking to make their mark in the transitional season.
Power Dynamos will be hoping their captain’s confidence translates into a strong performance when the two sides meet at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
