Nkana Football Club have confirmed the permanent departure of attacking midfielder Jacob Ngulube, who has joined Konkola Blades for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The move brings an end to Ngulube’s long association with Kalampa, where he established himself as one of the club’s most experienced and respected players over two spells.
Popularly known as “Ba Jaco”, the midfielder now begins a new chapter with Konkola Blades ahead of the 2026/27 season.
End of a Decade-Long Association
Ngulube first joined Nkana in 2016 from Mufulira Wanderers and quickly became a key member of the squad thanks to his creativity, vision and experience.
He later had spells with Kansanshi Dynamos in 2020 and NAPSA Stars before returning to Nkana in September 2021, where he once again became an influential figure in the team.
Throughout his time at Kalampa, Ngulube earned admiration from supporters for his commitment, professionalism and ability to influence matches from midfield.
Nkana Pay Tribute
In confirming the transfer, Nkana thanked the midfielder for his years of dedicated service to the club.
“During his time at Nkana FC, Ngulube contributed with his creativity, experience and commitment, earning the respect and appreciation of supporters and teammates alike.”
The club also wished the experienced playmaker success as he embarks on the next phase of his career.
“The club would like to thank Ngulube for his service and dedication throughout his time in the famous red colours and wishes him every success in his next chapter with Konkola Blades.”
Fresh Challenge at Konkola Blades
The move gives Ngulube an opportunity to continue his career with Konkola Blades, where he is expected to bring leadership, creativity and valuable MTN Super League experience.
His arrival adds quality to the Konkola Blades squad as they strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
Conclusion
Jacob Ngulube leaves Nkana having made a lasting contribution during two successful spells at the club.
As he begins a new journey with Konkola Blades, both player and club will hope the move proves beneficial as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming season.
