FC Muza Coach Reflects on Painful Loss to Kabwe Warriors
FC Muza head coach, Lameck Banda, voiced his disappointment following a 3-0 loss to Kabwe Warriors in their Week 10 clash at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium. The defeat marked Muza’s fourth of the season and saw them slide to 13th place in the league, with 12 points from 10 games. Banda attributed the setback to his team’s inability to capitalize on scoring chances, a recurring challenge that has hampered their progress this season.
Banda lamented that his team created numerous scoring opportunities but struggled to find the back of the net, ultimately allowing Kabwe Warriors to snatch a victory. “It was a painful defeat, a game that I feel we didn’t deserve to lose; we created so many chances but failed to convert and got punished in the end by our opponents,” Banda told BolaNews.
The coach emphasized that his squad must work on their execution if they hope to turn things around in their upcoming matches. “The way forward is always to improve,” Banda added. “If we don’t improve, then it will be difficult to face Lumwana Radiants. We need to improve on our execution in terms of finishing off our chances that we are creating.” His comments highlight a clear focus on offensive improvement as Muza prepares to host Lumwana Radiants in their Week 11 fixture.
Currently, Muza, also known as the “Elegant Dynamites,” has recorded three wins, three draws, and four losses this season. Banda’s commitment to refining the team’s approach to goal-scoring shows his determination to climb up the league table. With challenges like missed opportunities hindering their campaign, the team is under pressure to deliver a more clinical performance against Lumwana Radiants to avoid further setbacks.
As they regroup and refine their strategy, the Elegant Dynamites will be looking to bounce back stronger and more focused, with hopes of a better result in the next game.
