Copper Queens ready to thrash Spain in 2023 FIFA women's world cup

Zambia is set to play against Spain on Wednesday the 26th of July 2023 after suffering a 5-0 loss against Japan in their opening match of 2023 FIFA women’s world cup

In a report by the Football association of Zambia,the Copper Queens held a familiarisation tour of Eden Park stadium in central Auckland ahead of the match.The Copper Queens combed through the turf and had a feel of the dressing room, flash interview area and the mixed zone among other operational areas that will be key during Wednesday’s 26th July 2023 09h30CAT kick-off match.

In a press conference held today,the Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda confirmed that the team is ready to win and move ahead in the tournament.“We learnt something from the previous game that we had . We just hope to implement the right mentality in the next game that we are going to have” .She added.

with no points yet. However, group C standings could change after tomorrow’s game and the match between Costa Rica on 31st July 2023. Zambia will need a win over Spain to boost their chances of progressing to the next round as well.

As it stands  ,Japan is on top of the group with 3 points ,seconded by Spain with the same points and 3 goals from the game they played with Costa Rica.
