
Zambia Gears Up for Group D Showdown in Mangaung
Seven-time champions Zambia will open their COSAFA Cup 2025 campaign with a Group D clash against Comoros on Friday, June 6th, at 18h00 CAT (16h00 GMT) at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung | Bloemfontein, South Africa.
The Confederation of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) has officially released the full fixture list for next month’s regional showpiece, confirming that the Chipolopolo will wrap up their group stage matches against Botswana on Wednesday, June 11th, at the same venue.
Group D promises to be competitive, with Zambia seeking to reclaim the title they last won in 2019. The group stage will be decisive as only the top team progresses to the semi-finals.
Opening Fixtures Set for June 4 in Group A
The tournament will kick off on Wednesday, June 4th, when Zimbabwe take on Mauritius at 15h00 CAT (13h00 GMT) in Group A at the Toyota Stadium, one of the host venues during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Later that evening, hosts South Africa will begin their campaign against Mozambique at 18h00 CAT (16h00 GMT), a rematch of their 2024 opener that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Heavyweight Clashes in Group B and Group C
Group B kicks off on Thursday, June 5th, with Malawi facing Lesotho in the afternoon, followed by a mouthwatering tie between Angola and Namibia at 18h00 CAT. Angola famously beat Namibia 5-0 in last year’s final and will be hoping to repeat their dominance.
Group C, which features just three teams, begins on Friday, June 6th, with Morocco playing Madagascar in the first encounter at 15h00 CAT.
Knockout Schedule and Broadcast Details

The winner of Group B will take on the winner of Group C.
The third-place play-off and final will be held on June 15th at the Toyota Stadium, with the final kicking off at 15h00 CAT (13h00 GMT).
