Zambia Drawn Against Mozambique in CHAN Qualifier

The Chipolopolo of Zambia have been drawn to face the Mambas of Mozambique in the final round of qualifiers for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), a tournament reserved exclusively for players plying their trade in African leagues.

In draws conducted in Cairo today, Zambia will play away to Mozambique between December 20-22, before hosting the Mambas in the return leg from December 27-29. The two teams will be battling for a ticket to the CHAN tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in February 2025.

The clash comes with a sense of unfinished business, as Mozambique denied Zambia a spot in the last CHAN edition held in Algeria. This time, Chipolopolo will be determined to secure their place and make a strong return to the tournament.

With both teams aiming to prove their dominance in the region, the two-legged encounter promises to be a thrilling contest as Zambia seeks to avenge their previous defeat and book their place in the 2025 CHAN tournament.
