
Songa Chipyoka Joins Hapoel Petah Tikva on Loan
Zambian midfielder Songa Chipyoka has been officially unveiled by Israel’s second division side, Hapoel Petah Tikva. He joins the club on loan from Zambian Super League team Zesco United FC until the end of the season, with an option to buy.
Chipyoka spent last season with another Israeli club, Sektzia Ness Ziona, where he showcased his talent by scoring nine goals and providing four assists. Despite the team’s relegation, his impressive performance caught the attention of Hapoel Petah Tikva, who aim to bounce back to the Premier League after finishing second from the bottom last season.
In their official announcement, Hapoel Petah Tikva expressed their enthusiasm for the new signing “The current football club, ‘Mabne’ Petah-Tikva, is pleased to announce that winger Songa Chipyoka has signed with the club, having been loaned out for one season with an option to purchase at the end of the season,”
Hapoel Petah Tikva has been proactive in strengthening their squad, having signed Zambian international Kelvin Kapumbu last month. Chipyoka now becomes the second Zambian to join the club this season, further boosting their roster as they strive to return to the top flight.
The 19-year-old midfielder expressed his excitement and commitment to the team’s goals.
“I’m excited to join a big club like Hapoel Petah Tikva,” said Chipyoka. “I aim to improve and progress this season and to help the team meet its goal of returning to the Premier League.”
Chipyoka’s addition is expected to bolster Hapoel Petah Tikva’s campaign as they aim to reclaim their spot in the Premier League.
