Samuel Chiposa Joins Roan United on One-Year Loan from Mufulira Wanderers

By Bola Yapa Zed Sports Desk | 14th January 2026

Mufulira Wanderers Football Club have officially confirmed that striker Samuel Chiposa has completed a one-year loan move to Roan United Football Club, in a transfer aimed at securing regular game time for the highly rated forward.

The agreement will see Chiposa spend the 2025/26 season with the Luanshya-based outfit before returning to Mufulira Wanderers during the mid-season break of the 2026/27 campaign, with the club stressing that the striker remains firmly part of their long-term plans.

Loan Move Focused on Development and Game Time

Mufulira Wanderers’ acting Chief Executive Officer Evans Chinyanta explained that the decision to loan out Chiposa was taken with the player’s development firmly in mind. The club believes consistent minutes at Roan United will help the striker sharpen his competitive edge and continue his progression.

Chinyanta emphasised that the club fully recognises Chiposa’s quality and potential, describing the loan as a strategic move rather than a separation. Wanderers remain confident that the striker will return as a more complete player capable of making a stronger impact upon his return.

The club also reiterated that Mufulira Wanderers remain Chiposa’s parent club, underlining their commitment to reintegrate him into the squad once the loan spell concludes.

Chiposa Confident Ahead of Roan United Challenge

Samuel Chiposa has welcomed the move, expressing excitement about the opportunity to gain valuable match exposure at Roan United. The striker made it clear that the loan does not mark the end of his journey with the “Mighty” Mufulira Wanderers.

Chiposa highlighted that regular game time is essential at this stage of his career and believes the Roan United environment will allow him to grow both technically and mentally. He also reassured Wanderers supporters of his loyalty to the club.

The striker added that he is determined to return stronger, more confident, and ready to contribute positively to Mufulira Wanderers upon his return.

What the Move Means for Both Clubs

For Roan United, the acquisition of Chiposa adds attacking depth and youthful energy as they look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season. His presence is expected to boost competition in the forward line and provide additional goal threat.

Mufulira Wanderers, meanwhile, benefit from a development-focused loan that allows one of their promising attackers to mature through consistent competitive action rather than limited appearances.

As Chiposa embarks on this new chapter, both clubs will be watching closely, with the expectation that the loan spell will prove beneficial for all parties involved.
