Ronald Kampamba & Marvin Jere Depart from Kansanshi Dynamos
In a significant shakeup ahead of the second round of the 2023/24 MTN Super League season, Kansanshi Dynamos has bid farewell to striker Ronald ‘Sate-Sate’ Kampamba and midfielder Marvin Jere. The departures mark a series of changes as the club aims to bolster its squad for the upcoming fixtures.
Kampamba, a legend with Nkana FC before joining Kansanshi Dynamos in September 2022, brought a wealth of experience to the team. His departure is part of the club’s strategy to restructure and prepare for the challenges ahead in the league.
Marvin Jere, a former Lusaka Dynamos midfielder, spent two seasons with Kansanshi Dynamos. His departure coincides with the expiry of his contract, and there are indications that he might be headed to Southern Province to join Green Eagles.

The club has also confirmed the exit of several other players, including defender Kingsley Hakwiya, winger Daniel Chama, goalkeeper Scotch Mwanza, midfielder Yanganile Tembo (who has ventured to Mozambique), Djo Ntambwe, and Mubanga Basunga. These departures signal a significant shift in the team’s composition as they aim to strengthen their squad.
In response to these exits, Kansanshi Dynamos has promoted two promising youngsters from their feeder side, Young Kansanshi Dynamos. Midfielder Chali Mulaisho and goalkeeper Mapalo Chitundu, who showcased exceptional performances with the junior team, have earned promotions to the senior squad.
Additionally, the club bid farewell to its long-serving defensive midfielder and captain, Mutale Mutale, who has decided to retire from playing football. Mutale will continue to contribute to the development of the club by joining the administration team of Young Kansanshi Dynamos FC.
The club expressed its best wishes to the departing players for success in their future endeavors and extended hopes for continued success to the remaining team members as they move forward in the competition. The changes reflect the dynamic nature of football squads as teams strive to find the right balance for success in domestic competitions.
