It’s a potential title-winning weekend for Power Dynamos as they host Green Eagles in a decisive Week 33 clash of the 2024-2025 MTN Super League.
A win will see them crowned champions for the eighth time, and in front of their home fans no less.
Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa his full of confidence ahead of the match as he prepares to lead Abayellow to their second title in three seasons.
“We are feeling confident. Yes, we have come far. We might have exited the ABSA Cup competition, but we have this game to make amends and wrap the championship,” Mutapa said.
Mutapa is proud of the team’s journey and knows they are one step away from glory but until the final whistle he feels the Job is not yet done and there’s still work to do.
In as much as this game has everything to fight for ,Mutapa encourages the team to be composed.
“For me, it’s about composure, focus, and not playing under pressure,” Mutapa said.
“Yes, football is played under pressure, but we should be able to control the pressure that comes with the game .”
He also praised the fans for their continued support and encouraged them to turn up in numbers for this final home game.
While Power lead the table, the Ndola based outfit Zesco United trail them by just four points and face relegation threatened Mutondo Stars.
If Power Dynamos fails to win and Zesco closes the gap, the title race will go down to the final game in Week 34, where Power will face Nchanga Rangers who currently sits 10th with 40 points on the log table, not in the relegation zone but still looking to secure safety.
