Nkwazi Kit Man Allegedly Assaulted by Muza Security Officers
Ahead of Wednesday’s Super League match between Nkwazi and Muza, disturbing reports have emerged of an alleged assault on Nkwazi’s kit man by Muza security officers. The incident occurred at Mazabuka’s Nakambala Stadium, sparking unsavoury scenes just an hour before kickoff.
According to Nkwazi, their kit man, identified as Mubiana, was assaulted by Muza security officers during the altercation. The situation escalated when the visitors were denied entry into the stadium, prompting them to attempt to climb over the wall fence. Unfortunately, this led to a scuffle, with Mubiana allegedly bearing the brunt of the assault.

The matter has been swiftly reported to the police, highlighting the seriousness of the incident. Such incidents have no place in football and must be thoroughly investigated to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.
Thankfully, the gate was eventually opened with just 15 minutes remaining until kickoff, allowing the match to proceed as scheduled. However, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of security measures and proper conduct both on and off the pitch.
As football fans, we must condemn violence and ensure that matches are played in a safe and respectful environment for everyone involved. It is imperative that authorities take appropriate action to address this incident and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
