Nchanga Rangers Triumph with 3-0 Win Over FC Muza
In a spectacular display of football, Nchanga Rangers FC made a resounding statement in the MTN Super League by defeating Muza FC 3-0 in their debut season match. The Brave Rangers, bolstered by the presence of former Muza star Kasanda, dominated the game from the outset, leaving no room for doubt about their intentions this season. Their performance not only earned them three valuable points but also positioned them as a team to be reckoned with in the Zambian Premier League.
The match kicked off with Nchanga Rangers showing their attacking intent right from the start. Maxwell Mutale, proving his worth as a key player, opened the scoring in just the 6th minute. His early goal set the tone for the rest of the game, putting Muza FC on the back foot and allowing Rangers to control the pace of play. The early strike was a clear indicator of the Rangers’ strategy to dominate possession and pressure their opponents from the get-go.
As the game progressed, Nchanga Rangers continued to assert their dominance. In the second half, their efforts paid off again when Eliot Kampukesa found the back of the net in the 67th minute, doubling their lead. Kampukesa’s goal was a result of sustained pressure and excellent teamwork, highlighting the cohesion and understanding among the Rangers’ players. Just six minutes later, Laurent Mwanza sealed the victory with a well-timed goal in the 73rd minute, putting the result beyond doubt.
Muza FC struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match, unable to cope with the relentless pressure from Nchanga Rangers. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to break through the Rangers’ defense, which remained resolute and disciplined. The victory was not just a result of individual brilliance but also a testament to the tactical acumen of the Rangers’ coaching staff, who prepared their team exceptionally well for this encounter.
This commanding 3-0 victory sends a strong message to the rest of the league: Nchanga Rangers are here to compete at the highest level. With such a dominant performance in their first match, they have set a high standard for themselves and will be looking to build on this momentum in the coming games. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on the Brave Rangers to see if they can maintain this level of performance and emerge as serious contenders in the MTN Super League.
