Mutondo Stars strengthen their promotion bid with an impressive 5-2 victory over Lusaka Dynamos

The FAZ National League fixture between Mutondo Stars and Lusaka Dynamos was a thrilling match, with both teams fighting for different objectives.

Mutondo Stars, who are currently on the verge of qualifying for the MTN Super League, started the match strongly, taking the lead in the 5th minute through Titus Chansa‘s goal. However, Lusaka Dynamos responded quickly and managed to equalize before halftime.

The second half saw Mutondo Stars come out with renewed energy and determination to secure the victory. They took the lead again in the 55th minute, with Godfrey Chibanga scoring a crucial goal. Titus Chansa then added another goal to his tally in the 60th minute, increasing the lead for the home team.

Mutondo Stars continued to dominate and scored their fourth goal of the match in the 68th minute, through Richard Mwila‘s strike. Lusaka Dynamos managed to pull one back in the 70th minute, but it was too little too late as Mutondo Stars had already established a comfortable lead.

The home team was not done yet and continued to press forward, scoring their fifth goal of the match in the 84th minute, with Jackson Kampamba finding the back of the net.

The final scoreline was 5-2 in favour of Mutondo Stars, which was a significant victory for the home team in their quest to secure promotion to the MTN Super League as they have gone into second position on the table with two games remaining.

Lusaka Dynamos, on the other hand, will have to regroup and try to bounce back in their next match, as they prepare to play in the provisional league next season.
