Mufulira Wanderers have continued strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026 Transitional League after completing the signing of Kenyan attacker Henry Omollo from Kakamega Homeboyz.
The highly-rated forward has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Abena Milambo, becoming one of the club’s latest additions ahead of the new campaign.
Omollo arrives at Shinde Stadium with experience from the Kenyan Premier League and Tanzanian football, adding further attacking quality to Wanderers’ squad.
Proven Goal Scorer
The Kenyan forward enjoyed a productive 2025/26 campaign with Kakamega Homeboyz, scoring six league goals and establishing himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.
His pace, movement and finishing ability made him a constant threat in the final third, attracting interest from clubs outside Kenya.
Those performances have now earned him a move to the MTN Super League with Mufulira Wanderers.
Experience Across East Africa
Before returning to Kakamega Homeboyz, Omollo also had a spell in Tanzania with Fountain Gate FC.
The experience gained in two of East Africa’s top leagues is expected to help him adapt quickly to life in Zambian football.
At Wanderers, he will be expected to provide goals and creativity as the club looks to build a competitive side for the upcoming season.
Wanderers Continue Squad Rebuild
The signing of Omollo forms part of Mufulira Wanderers’ busy transfer window as the club continues reshaping its squad.
Abena Milambo have already strengthened several key positions, with management showing clear intent to assemble a team capable of competing strongly during the Transitional League campaign.
Omollo’s arrival adds another attacking option as Wanderers prepare for the challenges ahead.
Conclusion
Henry Omollo now begins a new chapter in Zambia after making his name in Kenyan football.
With a proven goalscoring record and valuable regional experience, the Kenyan attacker will be hoping to make an immediate impact as Mufulira Wanderers chase a successful 2026 Transitional League season.
