MTN Super League Week 32 Preview: As Survival Fight Intensify
The 2025/26 MTN Super League enters a crucial stage this week with several high-stakes fixtures expected to shape the relegation battle with only two teams to be relegated this season this has given breathing space to the top two teams from the bottom as the league expands from 18 to 20 teams, As CAF qualification battle has already been sorted out with Power Dynamos CAF champions league and Red Arrows CAF confederation cup.
League Champions Power Dynamos remain firmly in control at the summit and will look to finish stronger when they host struggling Mutondo Stars at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Power have been one of the most consistent sides this season, combining attacking firepower with defensive discipline. Facing a Mutondo side battling for survival, the defending champions will enter the match as overwhelming favourites. However, with relegation pressure mounting, Mutondo Stars are expected to fight desperately for points.
One of the headline fixtures of the week will see ZESCO United host Nkana FC at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Despite off-field controversies surrounding ZESCO in recent weeks, attention now shifts back to football as they face a Nkana side still searching for consistency this season.
Nkana know a positive result could significantly boost their hopes of finishing strongly, while ZESCO will be eager to silence critics with a strong performance at home.
Second-placed Red Arrows also face a tricky encounter against Green Eagles at Nkoloma Stadium. Arrows cannot afford any slip-ups if they are to keep pressure on Power Dynamos in the title race. Green Eagles, meanwhile, remain one of the league’s most difficult teams to break down and could frustrate the Airmen.
At REIZ Arena in Lusaka, Napsa Stars host Zanaco FC in another important fixture. Zanaco are still chasing a strong finish in the top half, while Napsa Stars continue fighting to move away from the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Mufulira Wanderers travel to Lusaka to face Green Buffaloes in a fixture that could influence the race for CAF competition places. Wanderers have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and will aim to continue building momentum.
FC MUZA welcome Nkwazi FC in Mazabuka, while Kansanshi Dynamos host FC Leopards in Solwezi. Mines United, who are rooted at the bottom of the table, face Konkola Blades in what could be a must-win encounter for survival hopes.
