ZANACO Ladies have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of prolific striker Maylan Mulenga on a short-term loan deal from Zambia Army-sponsored Green Buffaloes WFC.
Mulenga has already made an impact for the Lady Bankers, featuring in their 5-0 pre-season victory over Nkwazi over the weekend. The forward marked her first appearance for ZANACO Ladies with a goal, opening her account and providing an early indication of what she can offer the team.
Popularly known as “Ms Hat-Trick”, Mulenga has established herself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in the domestic women’s game. She has scored more than 85 league goals for Green Buffaloes since the start of the 2022/23 season.
Her arrival gives ZANACO Ladies an experienced and proven goalscorer as they prepare for the new campaign. Mulenga will now look to bring her impressive goalscoring record to the Lady Bankers and make her short-term spell count.
The move also provides Mulenga with an opportunity to continue her development and maintain her sharpness while taking on a new challenge away from Green Buffaloes.
