Green Buffaloes Sign U20 Defender Margret Gondwe

Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club has bolstered their squad with the signing of U20 national team defender Margret Gondwe from Luyando Foundation Football Club.

Margret Gondwe, widely regarded as one of Zambia’s brightest young talents, joins Green Buffaloes on a permanent transfer. Her addition is set to enhance the team’s defensive strength and overall performance as they aim to maintain their position as one of the top teams in Zambian women’s football.

The 19-year-old brings a wealth of experience despite her young age. She was a key part of the Zambia U17 squad that traveled to the Dominican Republic for the FIFA U17 World Cup. More recently, Gondwe played a vital role in the COSAFA U20 Women’s Championship-winning squad last year.

Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of U20 national team defender Margret Gondwe from Luyando Foundation Football Club.
Margret Gondwe is immensely talented and will add value to the team. She was part of the squad which travelled to the Dominican Republic for the U17 World Cup.
She was also part of the COSAFA U20 squad which won the tournament last year, she’s joining Buffaloes on a permanent transfer.
