Kelvin Mwanza Bids Farewell to FC MUZA
Kelvin Mwanza, the long-serving captain of Maestro United Football Club (FC MUZA), has officially announced his departure from the club following the expiration of his contract on July 31, 2024. In an emotional statement, Mwanza expressed his deep gratitude and reflected on his remarkable journey with the club, which spanned over six years.
Since joining FC MUZA in 2018, Mwanza has been a cornerstone of the team, contributing significantly to its growth and success. He described the club not just as a team but as a family, cherishing the memories, challenges, and triumphs they shared together. His tenure at FC MUZA saw the club achieve several milestones, including promotion to the Super League, top-four finishes, participation in the CAF Confederation Cup, and reaching the Absa Cup final.
Mwanza extended special thanks to the club president, Mr. Keith Mweemba, who he credited for his personal and professional growth, treating him with care and guidance. He also expressed his appreciation to his teammates, coaches, and the entire staff for their dedication and support, which he believes pushed him to be a better player and person.
In his farewell message, Mwanza emphasized that this was not a goodbye but a heartfelt “see you later,” as he moves on to the next chapter of his career. He assured that he would remain a proud supporter of FC MUZA, carrying with him the invaluable lessons, experiences, and friendships he gained during his time at the club.
As Kelvin Mwanza departs, he leaves behind a legacy of leadership and dedication at FC MUZA, and the club’s fans will undoubtedly miss his presence on and off the field.
