Nkwazi Football Club Appoints Agrey Chiyangi as Head Coach
Nkwazi Football Club has officially appointed Agrey Chiyangi as their new Head Coach on a two-year contract. Chiyangi takes over from Dennis Makinka, who recently left to join Nkana FC. The appointment was announced during a ceremony at the Service Headquarters in Lusaka, attended by Zambia Police Inspector General Graphel Musamba.
Chiyangi, a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience in the Zambian league, has previously managed several prominent teams, including Nkana FC, Nchanga Rangers, and Green Eagles. His deep understanding of the league and proven track record make him a fitting choice to lead Nkwazi FC into the new season.
Inspector General Musamba expressed his confidence in Chiyangi’s ability to steer the team towards success. “Given Coach Chiyangi’s vast experience, I am confident the team is in capable hands,” Musamba stated. He highlighted the club’s high expectations, including winning the league, securing the ABSA Cup, and making a mark in continental competitions. Additionally, the Inspector General emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of discipline, reflecting the club’s esteemed association with the Zambia Police.
Club Chairman Bradley Mweene echoed these sentiments, expressing faith in Chiyangi’s capabilities and challenging him to surpass the team’s achievements from the previous season.
Chiyangi joins a robust coaching staff, including Keegan Phiri as the first assistant, Edward Kangwa as the second assistant, Signs Chibanbo as the third assistant, and Samuel Ngukube as the goalkeeper trainer.
As Nkwazi FC prepares for the upcoming season, the club and its supporters look forward to seeing how Chiyangi’s leadership will shape the team’s future successes.
