Zambian coach Kelvin Kaindu has been named the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League Coach of the Month for August 2026 after guiding Hardrock FC through an impressive run of results.
Kaindu led the Kwekwe-based side to two league victories during the month, beating Manica 3-0 before securing a narrow 2-1 victory over Hunters. The results helped Hardrock maintain their position among the leading sides in the Zimbabwean top flight.
Hardrock also enjoyed success away from the league, knocking Bulawayo Chiefs out of the Chibuku Super Cup to book their place in the quarter-finals. They will face Scottland FC in the last eight, while the club also recorded success in the Munhumutapa Challenge.
It was a double celebration for Hardrock, with forward Prince Dube also receiving recognition after being named the league’s Player of the Month. Dube scored two goals and provided two assists during August, playing a key role in the club’s impressive run.
Hardrock currently sit second in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League with 54 points from 27 matches, three points behind leaders Scottland FC. Their position has put them firmly in the title race as the season enters its crucial stages.
Kaindu’s latest individual accolade caps a strong period for the former Power Dynamos and Nkana coach, who has established Hardrock as serious contenders at the top end of Zimbabwean football.
