The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed the appointment of former striker Jimmy Beleki Ndlovu as the new Equipment Manager for the Zambia national football team, the Chipolopolo. Ndlovu, who currently serves in the same capacity at Kabwe Warriors, joins the national setup as part of FAZ’s ongoing restructuring to strengthen technical and support roles with experienced former players.
Ndlovu enjoyed a successful playing career across some of Zambia’s top clubs, including Red Arrows, ZESCO United, Nkana, Power Dynamos, and Kabwe Warriors. Between 2008 and 2012, he featured for Red Arrows before moving to ZESCO United and later Nkana FC in 2013. He went on to play for Power Dynamos from 2014 to 2018, before joining Kabwe Warriors in 2019, where he transitioned into a technical role after hanging up his boots.
His appointment as Chipolopolo Equipment Manager marks another milestone in a career defined by dedication, professionalism, and deep understanding of the local football landscape. Ndlovu’s responsibilities will include overseeing all team equipment logistics, ensuring that training and matchday preparations run smoothly a role he has excelled in at Kabwe Warriors.
The former striker becomes the latest ex-player to join the national team’s setup following FAZ’s recent appointments of Moses Sichone, Andrew Sinkala, Perry Mutapa, and Kennedy Mweene in technical roles. This growing trend reflects FAZ’s continued belief in empowering former players with leadership positions that contribute to the game’s development both on and off the pitch.
With his wealth of experience from years spent playing at the highest level and now working in football management, Jimmy Beleki Ndlovu is well-placed to support the Chipolopolo’s operations as the team prepares for the Morocco 2025 AFCON qualifiers. His dual role at Kabwe Warriors and with the national team reinforces his reputation as one of Zambia’s most respected football professionals behind the scenes.
