Nkana Football Club have continued their transfer business ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signing of winger Jackson Kampamba on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The 22-year-old joins Kalampa from Kabwe Warriors as the Kitwe giants continue to strengthen their squad following the lifting of their FIFA transfer ban.
Kampamba arrives at Nkana with a reputation as a pacey and exciting wide player capable of causing problems for defenders, and will be hoping to make an immediate impact at one of Zambia’s most successful clubs.
Family Reunion at Wusakile
The move carries extra significance for the young winger as he reunites with his brothers Ronald and Chisha Kampamba at Nkana.
His arrival further strengthens the Kampamba family’s presence at the club and adds another interesting storyline ahead of the new campaign.
The trio will now have the opportunity to represent the famous red jersey together as Nkana look to improve on last season’s performances.
Nkana Delighted With New Addition
Nkana Chief Executive Officer Mwansa Kapyanga expressed his satisfaction after completing the deal and believes the winger has the qualities needed to succeed at the club.
“Jackson is a talented young player with qualities that we believe will add value to our squad.”
“He is an exciting attacking player with good potential and a strong desire to continue developing his game.”
Kapyanga also highlighted the player’s long-term potential.
“At 22 years old, he has his best years ahead of him and we are confident that Nkana Football Club can provide the right environment for him to grow and make a positive contribution to the team.”
Building for the Future
The signing is another indication of Nkana’s commitment to investing in young players as they reshape the squad for the future.
With the club looking to bounce back from a difficult 2025/26 campaign, additions such as Kampamba are expected to inject fresh energy and competition into the squad.
Supporters will now be eager to see how the winger adapts to life at Wusakile and whether he can establish himself as a key figure in Elijah Tana’s plans.
Conclusion
Nkana’s recruitment drive shows no signs of slowing down, and the arrival of Jackson Kampamba adds another promising young talent to the Kalampa ranks.
With pace, attacking flair and the motivation of playing alongside his brothers, the winger will be aiming to make his mark as Nkana target a much stronger season in 2026/27.
