Green Buffaloes Set for Thrilling COSAFA Semifinal Clash with Mamelodi Sundowns

In a highly anticipated showdown at the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions | COSAFA Qualifiers in South Africa, the reigning champions, Green Buffaloes, are all set to face off against Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa in the semifinals. The clash will take place at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban, with kickoff scheduled for 15:30 on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Green Buffaloes, who finished second in Group A, will be squaring off against a formidable Mamelodi Sundowns side that secured the top spot in Group B after an intense series of matches.
This encounter marks the third meeting between these two teams in a tournament that serves as a qualifier for the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League. The history between them is rich with drama and rivalry. In their first encounter, Sundowns emerged as 1-0 victors in the semifinals in September 2021, ultimately claiming the title. In the other semifinal fixture, Costa do Sol of Mozambique will take on Double Action Ladies of Botswana on September 6 at 12:00.
