FAZ Women’s Super-Division Week 13 Results: ZESCO Rise, Buffaloes Held, Others Shine
The FAZ Women’s Super Division delivered another captivating Saturday, with ZESCO Ndola Girls climbing to the top of the table, Green Buffaloes dropping points, and victories for Elite Ladies, Indeni Roses, and Green Eagles.
ZESCO’s Christmas Cheer: Led by a Charity Mubanga brace, ZESCO Ndola Girls conquered Police Dove Queens in Solwezi, putting them neck-and-neck with Indeni and Buffaloes at the summit with 29 points, all vying for the Christmas crown.
Double Delight at Nkoloma: The National Assembly witnessed a contrasting doubleheader. Indeni Roses cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Parliamentarian Ladies thanks to a veteran Noria Sosala brace and goals from Luwi Muyoyi and Norin Betani. In the following match, Red Arrows overcame a Suwilanji Chibesa-inspired Nkwazi Queens with a stunning Susan Banda comeback. The Copper Queens midfielder equalized and then delivered a beautiful free-kick winner, showcasing her magic.
Elsewhere in the League:
- Elite Ladies soared past Luyando Foundation Girls 3-0 with Saliya Mwanza, Thandiwe Nkhata, and Xiomara Mapepa finding the net.
- Defending champions Green Buffaloes were surprisingly held to a goalless draw by Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles.
