MTN Super League giants Mufulira Wanderers Football Club have officially confirmed the departure of long-serving striker Clive Biyeta, who has joined Konkola Blades ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Biyeta’s exit marks the end of an era at Shinde Stadium, where he spent over four years building a reputation as one of the most lethal forwards in the Zambian top flight. The 27-year-old striker now moves to Konkola Blades, a side looking to bolster its attack with proven firepower.
A Farewell to a Fan Favourite
During his time at Mufulira Wanderers, Biyeta quickly became a household name among the Abena Milambo faithful, with his consistent goal-scoring prowess and fierce competitive spirit. In one standout Super League season, he netted over 20 goals, showcasing his ability to deliver when it mattered most.
His performances didn’t just bring goals—they brought leadership, unity, and hope. As a senior figure in the dressing room, Biyeta helped guide younger players and led by example both on and off the pitch.
“Clive has been an integral part of our team,” the club said in a farewell statement.
“We thank him for his remarkable contribution, both on and off the pitch, and wish him the very best as he begins a new chapter with Konkola Blades.”
More Than Just Goals
Beyond his stats, Biyeta’s influence stretched to the heart of the Wanderers’ identity. His passion, professionalism, and discipline made him a model teammate and a consistent starter in big games. Whether it was home clashes at a packed Shinde or tough away fixtures, Biyeta always stood tall.
Coaches who worked with him hailed his dedication in training and his commitment to team goals. Club insiders credit his hunger for success and unwavering humility as key reasons for his long-term impact.
New Chapter, Same Mission
At Konkola Blades, Biyeta will be expected to replicate his goal-scoring form as the Chililabombwe-based outfit gears up for a competitive Super League season. With the club aiming to push further up the table, the arrival of an experienced and proven striker could prove pivotal.
Blades are keen to strengthen their frontline and believe that Biyeta, with his experience and sharp instincts, can make an immediate impact.
Wanderers Move Forward
While Biyeta’s departure is a big loss for the Wanderers, the club remains committed to its long-term project under new head coach Lameck Banda. New signings are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, with the technical bench focused on building a balanced and ambitious squad for the new season.
The Shinde faithful will always remember Clive Biyeta for the magic moments, late goals, and his deep love for the Mighty Mufulira Wanderers shirt.
