NKANA coach Beston Chambeshi will not press the panic button despite the legendary side swimming in the relegation zone.
The record Super League holders are third from bottom with nine points at par with Kabwe Warriors, but the former have a better goal aggregate. In an interview after a barren draw with Nkwazi at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday, Chambeshi said there is no cause for panic as the team is slowly finding its feet.He said the team has started playing well and indications are that the situation will turn around soon.
“I am not worried about where we are on the table. My only worry is on the pitch but as things are, I think we are improving in each game except we have to improve in front. That is where we seem to have a problem” Chambeshi said.
He also said playing four games without conceding is a sign of discipline defensively.“If we can continue playing the way we are at the moment, I think we will be safe, only that we are not scoring.
I was telling the players that we need to start scoring, we have managed to sort out our defensive deficiencies as you can see, we have gone four games without allowing a goal,” Chambeshi said.Nkwazi are 13th on the log with 12 points.
