The race for the FAZ Women’s Super Division title has been brought to a thrilling climax after the latest round of matches. Red Arrows Women‘s Football Club secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Trident Queens FC, putting them back in the top spot and keeping their title hopes alive.
This win came just hours after Buffaloes Women‘s Football Club had defeated Nkwazi Queens 4-0 in an emphatic victory. With just one match left to play in the season, the title race is finely poised, with Red Arrows leading the way on 79 points, just one point ahead of Buffaloes.
Red Arrows will need to secure a win against Bauleni United Sports Academy in Week 34 to guarantee themselves the title, while Buffaloes will have to defeat Queens Sports Academy in Kabwe to keep their hopes alive.
If Red Arrows fail to win their final match, the title will remain with defending champions Buffaloes, as long as they secure a win or a draw against Queens Sports Academy. This sets up an intriguing finale to what has been an enthralling season of women’s football in Zambia.
