IAN BAKALA UNVEILED BY FOREST RANGERS AS HEAD COACH
Forest Rangers Football on Monday confirmed the appointment of Ian Bakala as their new head coach until the end of the current season
The 41 Year old former International midfielder mutually separated with Kabwe Warriors where he led them to the CAF confederation Cup Qualification and replaces Tenant chembo who was dismissed in January after the Team’s run of Poor results..

Forest Rangers Football Club has appointed Ian Bakala the new Head Coach for the reminder of the season, effective immediately.
The former Kabwe Warriors Head coach has joined the Forest Rangers technical bench with vast experience having qualified Kabwe Warriors to the CAF confederation cup last season. He has also worked with other Super Division Teams like Lusaka Dynamos.
The new club Chairman, Mr. Ray Mumba confirmed this development during a press briefing today March 7 , 2022 saying that Coach Ian has signed a short term contract for the remaining eight games which will be reviewed based on his performance at the end of the season.
The Club has challenged Coach Bakala to help the team finish in a respectable position and hopefully qualify for CAF by the end of the eight games.
During the briefing, Mr Mumba said, “ZAFFICO has brought about the following changes because it remains committed to Forest Rangers and wants to see it maximise shareholder value investment, as well as get back to its formidable form which saw it qualify to competitions like ABSA Cup and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.”
The club would like to officially welcome Mr. Bakala to Forest Rangers FC and wish him all the best as he conducts his duties.”statement issued by Media and Public Relations Officer Christina Zulu reads.
