ZISD FC have officially bolstered their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Eden University Women’s Super League season with the permanent signing of Malawian forward Tendai Sani from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
The Malawian club confirmed the transfer in a statement published on its official website on Wednesday.
“FCB Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Zambian outfit ZISD Football Club for the permanent transfer of midfielder Tendai Sani,” the club announced.
The 20-year-old attacker lit up the 2024/25 Goshen Football Association of Malawi Women’s League Southern Region, scoring an astonishing 65 goals in just 18 matches. Her historic campaign earned her a place in the league’s Best XI and a nomination for Female Footballer of the Year.
A Rising Star Heads to Zambia
Sani departs after two brilliant seasons with the Malawi champions, where she emerged as one of the country’s most exciting young female prospects.
“The 20-year-old Malawian international departs after a successful two years in red and white, during which she blossomed into one of the country’s most promising talents,” the statement added.
ZISD FC, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, are now hoping to build their attack around the dynamic forward. Her arrival comes as a timely reinforcement following the departure of Namasiku Lungowe to Nchanga Rangers Queens and the resignation of head coach Enala Phiri in January.
ZISD’s Rebuild Starts with Sani
The Lusaka-based club endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign, struggling in the final third after losing key players. Sani’s explosive goal-scoring record and attacking flair now give ZISD a proven finisher to lead their frontline.
With the new season set to kick off mid-next month, ZISD FC are aiming to bounce back stronger, and Sani could be the spark they’ve been missing.
