After a difficult 2024/25 MTN Super League campaign that saw them survive relegation on the final day, ZANACO FC have begun planning a serious rebuild. Top of their transfer wishlist is Kabwe Warriors utility man Tinkler Sinkala, who is reportedly one of coach Numba Mumamba’s priority signings for the 2025/26 season.
Tinkler Sinkala: A Top Target for the Bankers
According to ZamFoot Crew, ZANACO are aggressively pursuing Sinkala, a versatile midfielder who can also slot into defensive positions. The Magnificent Kabwe Warriors player recently featured for Chipolopolo’s local squad at the COSAFA Cup, where Zambia endured a disappointing early exit under Wedson Nyirenda.
Despite that setback, Sinkala’s performances caught the attention of ZANACO scouts and coaching staff, who believe the 25-year-old could add both dynamism and depth to their squad.
Massive Squad Overhaul at Sunset
Sources indicate that ZANACO are looking to sign between 8–10 players in this transfer window, with Power Dynamos right-back Sekanji Siame also on their radar. The Sunset Stadium outfit is aiming to bounce back from a dismal campaign in which they finished dangerously close to the drop zone.
Their survival was only secured thanks to ZESCO United’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Atletico Lusaka on the final matchday.
New Season Starts with a Test in Mazabuka
ZANACO will open their 2025/26 MTN Super League season away to FC MUZA in Mazabuka on August 16, 2025 a tough start that underscores the need for experienced and versatile reinforcements like Sinkala.
