Pauline Zulu Bids Farewell to The Elite Ladies FC
Zambia’s rising football star, Pauline Zulu, has officially announced her departure from The Elite Ladies Football Club following an impressive stint that spanned three years. Zulu marked her final game in spectacular fashion, leading her team to a dominant 7-0 victory over Nkana Queens FC in a rescheduled Week 19 fixture. The win secured a 5th-place finish for The Elite Ladies in the league standings, a fitting conclusion to her remarkable journey with the club.
Reflecting on her time at the club, Zulu expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported her since she joined in 2021. “I want to thank the management, coaches, my teammates, family, and friends who helped build me into a COSAFA champion and an Olympian,” she shared.
Zulu reserved special praise for The Elite Ladies’ Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Oliver Shalala, describing him as a “father figure” whose guidance made her growth and eventual transfer possible. “Surely your works shall not go unnoticed,” Zulu added, highlighting the instrumental role Shalala played in her development.
As she embarks on a new chapter with Zanaco Ladies FC, Zulu looks forward to fresh challenges while cherishing the memories and achievements from her time with The Elite Ladies. “Indeed, ‘Built to Be the Best!’ I will forever be grateful for the memories created,” she said, signing off with a note of optimism for the future.
Zulu’s move to Zanaco Ladies signals a significant step in her career as she aims to bring her talent and leadership to her new team. Fans across Zambia will undoubtedly follow her journey closely, as she continues to inspire young players with her dedication and skill.
