Ocean Mushure Rejoins Dynamos from Kabwe Warriors
Veteran left-back Ocean Mushure is set to make a return to Dynamos, five years after leaving the Harare giants for the Zambian Premier League. The 39-year-old, affectionately known as “The Grinder” in Zambia, is rejoining Dynamos after an eventful stint in the Zambian football scene.
Ocean Mushure first arrived in Zambia in 2019, joining the then big-spending Lusaka Dynamos. His impressive performances and consistency on the field quickly made him a standout player. However, following the collapse of Lusaka Dynamos, Mushure moved to Kabwe Warriors, where he continued to excel.
At Kabwe Warriors, Mushure played a crucial role under coach Numba Mumamba, helping the team reach the 2023/24 Absa Cup final. Despite their loss to double winners Red Arrows, Mushure’s contributions, particularly his pinpoint crosses and deadly set-pieces, were widely acknowledged and celebrated.
Deemed too old by Caps United last month, the 39-year-old Mushure has decided to return to Dynamos, the club he left in 2019. His return is expected to bring experience and leadership to the team, with expectations that he will reclaim the captain’s armband.

Dynamos will face Zesco United in the CAF Confederations Cup, with the first leg scheduled to be played at Johannesburg’s Orlando Stadium. Mushure’s experience and familiarity with Zesco United could prove invaluable for Dynamos in this crucial encounter.
Ocean Mushure will be remembered in Zambia for his exceptional performances and significant contributions, especially at Lusaka Dynamos and Kabwe Warriors. His skillful play, particularly his accurate crosses and set-piece proficiency, left a lasting impression on Zambian football fans.
As Ocean Mushure re-enters the Dynamos squad, fans and analysts will be keen to see how his return impacts the team. His leadership and experience will be critical as Dynamos prepare for their CAF Confederations Cup matches and other upcoming challenges.
