Mutapa Adds Billy Mwanza and Lemekani to Coaching Team
Power Dynamos Football Club, under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Oswald Mutapa, has reinforced its coaching staff with the addition of two familiar faces from his tenure at Nkwazi. The club recently welcomed Billy Mwanza and Lemekani Mwanza to their backroom team, marking an important step in enhancing the team’s support structure.
Billy Mwanza, a former Chipolopolo defender, brings his wealth of experience to the role of physical trainer at Power Dynamos. Having worked alongside Mutapa previously, Mwanza’s expertise in physical conditioning will be instrumental in preparing the players for the demanding challenges ahead.
Joining him is Lemekani Mwanza, who assumes the position of Video/Performance Analyst. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of tactical analysis, Lemekani will play a pivotal role in providing insights to enhance player performance and team strategy.
The duo was formally introduced to the Power Dynamos squad on Wednesday, 7th February 2024, and wasted no time in immersing themselves in their new roles. Their seamless integration into the coaching setup underscores the club’s commitment to assembling a formidable support team.
Kennedy Muma, formerly the Physical Trainer, has been elevated to the position of third Assistant Coach, further enriching the coaching staff with his expertise and insights.
Currently undergoing a rigorous 10-day training camp since 5th February, Power Dynamos is leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for the upcoming challenges. As part of their preparations, the team is scheduled to engage in a friendly match against Konkola Blades in Chililabombwe on Saturday at 09:00hrs.
Mutapa’s appointment as head coach last month, along with the subsequent reinforcement of the coaching staff, signals a new chapter for Power Dynamos as they strive for success in the league and beyond. With a dedicated and experienced coaching team in place, the club aims to achieve its goals and uphold its legacy of excellence on the field.
